Colors & Layers
This is a body of Mixed Media 2D works on paper created to embrace bright colors and layers. All frames are repurposed to enhance the pieces!
Gallery Statement:
Art, for me, is an act of play—a fearless exploration of color, texture, and material. I create multi-layered, immersive pieces that embrace the joy and spontaneity of child-like experimentation. Using both traditional and unconventional materials—such as bingo daubers, crayons, markers, watercolor, paper cutouts, fabrics and even real flowers—I push the boundaries of accessibility, proving that art is for everyone and can be made from anything.
My work thrives in chaos, layering vibrant colors and engulfing patterns to reflect the overstimulating yet beautiful complexities of life. I am fascinated by the idea of the “edge”—that space where everything is “sufficiently interesting”—and I allow my compositions to live in that tension, where movement and energy never settle but constantly evolve.
Creating is both a reflection of my internal world and a necessary exercise in focus and calm. As someone who navigates anxiety, my process is deeply therapeutic, allowing me to embrace disorder while finding moments of peace within it. Through my work, I invite viewers to engage with that same playful curiosity—to explore, to feel, and to find their own sense of wonder within the layers.
